The Green Door

The Green Door is an unusual love story of Akshar, a 25 year old boy, on the spectrum, living in the old city of Jodhpur; and a Princess caught in a painting for over three centuries.
Akshar finds a painting at a visiting painter’s shop in an exhibition, an ordinary painting of the Udaipur Palace. However, he feels a strong sense of belonging to this painting and brings it home. Soon he realizes that this is no ordinary painting and starts having conversations with a Princess who resides in the Palace.
Having lived in solitude for as long as she can remember, the Princess Krishna Kumari is also happy to make friends.
As they get closer to each other, they realize that they were destined to meet, that the painting has a mysterious past and so do they.
Sakshi, the narrator of the timeless tale and, Akshar’s closest friend also discovers that the past isn’t what it seems. And that the painting itself holds a secret that is waiting to be unveiled, a secret that nobody knew, not even the king.
