Guided by eminent academicians and industry leaders, NACS is steadfastly dedicated to cultivating a nationwide culture of chemical safety and security. NACS wants to promote a safe chemical industry that reduces risks to the environment, public health, and national security. Its primary goals are to advance chemical security through proactive policy advocacy, multi-stakeholder collaboration (including government, business, academia, and civil society), and the sharing of best practices. By raising awareness in the chemical and biochemical industries, fostering collaborations between students, faculty, and industry professionals, and developing innovative curricula for chemical security education in higher education institutions, the association works to achieve these goals. As a major component of NACS’s efforts, the Indo-US Workshop series on dual-use chemical security has been held since 2016 by CSIR laboratories and universities with assistance from PNNL and the US DoS Chemical Security Program.
